A importância da rede / The importance of the network.

Olás! Hoje, um post diferente. Vou falar de divulgação do trabalho. Recentemente eu ouvi que tão (ou até mais) importante do que ter excelência no que você faz, é conhecer muitas pessoas, ter muitos contatos. E cada vez mais acho que isso é uma grande verdade. E cada vez mais percebo que isso pode acontecer de várias formas. Comigo aconteceu de três formas.

A primeira foi uma participação na revista online Infoview Magazine que fala de CG, games, cinema e tecnologia. Tive a honra de ter uma página publicada com meu perfil e alguns trabalhos. Além é claro de conhecer profissionais muito talentosos. Muito legal esta iniciativa de toda equipe do site BlenderWeb. Não conhecia a revista, só agora com esta publicação que você pode ler e baixar aqui. Altamente recomendável.

Hellos! Today, a different post. I’ll talk about spreading the work. Recently I heard that so (or even more) important than having excellence in what you do, you meet new people, have many contacts. And increasingly, I think this is very true. And increasingly realize that this can happen in several ways. Happened to me in three ways.

The first was a participation in the Infoview Magazine online magazine that speaks about CG, games, film and technology. I had the honor of having published a page with my profile and some work. In addition, of course, to meet very talented professionals. Very cool this initiative to all BlenderWeb staff. I didn’t know the magazine, only now with this publication wich you can read and download here. Highly recommended.

Depois, tive a alegria de ser convidado para desenhar uma página de quadrinhos na Jam Session da Livraria HQMix que rolou durante a 8ª Virada Cultural. Isso foi muito legal, mesmo começando a desenhar num domingo frio as oito da manhã, foi incrível dividir experiências e ideias com os outros artistas que estavam lá. Sem falar dos outros ídolos, companheiros de profissão e amigos que já haviam participado nas outras edições. Só para você ter uma ideia da quantidade de gente boa que ‘desenha’ neste país, minha página é a de número 460. 460! Sensacional!

Then I had the pleasure of being invited to design a page of comics at the Bookstore HQMix Jam Session that happened during the 8th Virada Cultural. That was pretty cool, even beginning to draw on a cold Sunday at eight in the morning was amazing share experiences and ideas with other artists who were there. Not to mention the other idols, fellow professionals and friends who had participated in other editions. Just to give you an idea of how many good people that ‘draws’ in this country, my page is the number 460. 460! Sensational!

E mais recentemente foi o Gavetta, um blog lá de Fortaleza, que me deu a enorme honra de participar com três banners e uma entrevista. Olha, se você não conhece este blog, demorou. Sim, ele fala de ilustração. Mas também fala de moda, tendências, culinária, fotografia… só para lembrar a gente (que vive na frente da prancheta ou do Mac) que existe um mundo enorme lá fora. Vai lá, agora!

And most recently was the Gavetta, a blog there in Fortaleza, wich gave me the great honor to participate with three banners and an interview. Look, if you don’t know this great blog, you must. Yes, they speaks about illustration. But it also speaks about fashion trends, cooking, photography … just to remind us (who lives in front of the artboard or Mac) that there is a huge world out there. Go there now!

Mas o que tudo isso tem a ver com o meu trabalho? Simples. Cada exposição é uma oportunidade de mostrar ao mundo o que eu faço. E de conseguir mais trabalhos, conhecer novas pessoas, aprender… Por isso, agradeço muito ao Weberty do BlenberWeb, ao Gualberto e a Daniela da HQMix e também a Carolys do Gavetta. But what does all this have to do with my work? Simple. Each exhibition is an opportunity to show the world what I do.
