Acabei de reler The Giving Tree, do Shel Silverstein. Continuo achando genial.

I just re-read The Giving Tree, from Shel Silverstein. I keep thinking genius.

Olá amigos! Hoje vou mostrar um projeto experimental de um aplicativo para iPhone, iPod e iPad chamado Milk.TV. O conceito do app é bem simples e interessante: a partir dele, o usuário pode compartilhar com seus amigos o que mais gosta de assistir na TV, rankeando seus canais e programas preferidos, além de receber alertas da programção. Os criadores deste app me procuraram para fazer o logotipo e também alguns ícones, o que foi um trabalho muito legal de realizar. A ideia inicial era usar usar uma vaquinha, devido ao nome do app. Então, como sempre, peguei lápis e papel e saiu isso aqui:

Hello my friends! Today I will show an experimental project to an iPhone, iPod and iPad app called Milk.TV. The concept of the app is very simple and interesting: from it, you can share with your friends that you like to watch on TV, choosing your favorite channels and programs, and receive alerts programmatically as well. The creators of this app call me to make the logo and some icons too, and it was a very cool thing to do. The initial idea was to use use a handsome cow, due to the name of the app. So as always, I took pencil and paper and left it here:

Antes de começar a arte final, preferi refinar o traço, mais uma vez à lápis. Acho que isso facilita e reduz o tempo na hora de vetorizar e garante um melhor resultado lá no final do trabalho:

Before starting the artwork, I preferred refine the trace once again with the pencil. I guess that facilitates and reduces the time to vectorize and ensures a better result there after work:

Além disso criei os primeiros ícones: a carinha da vaca (repara só no cabelinho dela em formato da letra “M”) e outro ícone, para avisar amigos, um bem-te-vi. Na verdade, um “trocadilho” com bem-TV.

I also created the first icons: the cow’s face (observe her little hair-shaped “M”) and another icon to warn friends, a bird called bem-te-vi here in Brazil. In fact, a “quibble” with the portuguese words bem-TV, something like “well TV”.
