Ilustração e Mascote: Logotipo de Buffet Infantil / Children's buffet: logo and character illustration

Quem inventou o brigadeiro merecia o Prêmio Nobel. Olá amigos! Hoje mostro um logotipo criado para um buffet infantil. A cliente me procurou pedindo algo bem alegre, colorido, divertido, com foco mais em crianças do que adolescentes, e que além de criar a imagem para o nome do buffet, criasse um personagem. A partir desta primeira conversa, propus as seguintes opções, ainda em rascunho.

A client came to me asking something very cheerful, colorful, fun, focusing more on children than teenagers, and that in addition to creating the image to the name of the buffet, create a character. From that first conversation, I proposed the following options, still in draft.

Ela gostou, mas havia se esquecido de me falar algo bem importante: o maior atrativo deste buffet seria a comida. Sim, a variedade de salgados, os bolos e, em especial, a seção de doces. E era bem importante isso ser uma parte em destaque no logo. Com o briefing refinado, ficou mais fácil chegar ao que ela queria e, a partir disso, mudei a direção da criação apresentando a seguinte proposta.

She liked it, but had forgotten to tell me something very important: the biggest attraction of this buffet would be the food. Yes, a variety of snacks, cakes, and especially the candy section. And it was very important to be a part featured in the logo. With the briefing refined, it became easier to get what she wanted and, from that, I changed the direction of creation presenting the following proposal.

Nesse momento, acho que até por gosto próprio, escolhi um brigadeiro para ser o persoangem do buffet. Não pesquisei isso, mas imagino que este doce deve ser um campeão de preferência em qualquer festa de criança, além de ser facilmente reconhecível. Em relação a pose dele, decidi fazê-lo com os braços abertos, pois queria passar a ideia de ‘seja bem-vindo’ e ‘acolhimento’. É como se o próprio personagem fosse dar um grande abraço na criança. Afinal, um grande abraço é parte muito importante de um aniversário, não é mesmo? Em seguida parti para a arte final, que comecei refinando a ilustração à lápis.

Compared to pose him, decided to do it with open arms because I wanted to give the idea of ​​’welcome’ and ‘host’. It’s as if the character himself was giving a big hug on the child. After all, a big hug is very important part of a birthday, is not it? Then I left for the artwork, I started refining the illustration in pencil. 

Depois de  digitalizar o desenho, parti para a etapa de vetorizar todos os elementos separados. Ao mesmo tempo em que trabalhei a ilustração, desenhei as letras para a marca.

Como queria fazer algo bem detalhado, abri os vetores no Photoshop e trabalhei bastante em vários detalhes, como os olhos, a textura do papel laminado de prata, e dei atenção especial a iluminação. Nas letras usei bastante iluminação, alguns brilhos e textura. E, para integrar estes dois elementos criei um grafismo de background bem colorido e dinâmico.
